Decorating the Locomotion

The Locomotion is the funniest youth-hostel to stay in Córdoba (Argentina). Since the first time you will feel like in a big and crazy family where you can ask for music, party, culture, places to visit, sports or whatever...even maybe they will let you make some paintings on the wall!!!

Silver on the core of Pachamama

In other time Potosí was powerful and rich. Now it seems to be a reflection of its glorious past, but probably is its bitter history what makes this place so interesting. Five centuries ago the indian Diego Huallpa discovered silver on the Cerro Rico (Sumaj Orkho) and then the exploitation of the mountain and the indians by the spanish started. Today, mines´ works are still going on (although there´s no silver left) and the miners keep offering to "El Tío" some presents to protect themselves inside the mine like cigarettes or coca leafs...

Note: the translation for "el Tío" is "the uncle", but it makes reference to the demon.

The indians from Los Andes: Quechuas and Aymaras

On the left is Javicho, I met him and his brother Yerko in La Paz. We gave them some colours and pencils and we were drawing together at the little market where they worked everyday. They did really well. On the right is Rodrigo, a tireless little boy we use to play with in Potosí.

Here are Francisca and Mario H.H. She was selling oranges, lemons and peanuts to the travellers at La Quiaca bus terminal (Argentina-Bolivia border). Mario was a gentleman that we met in Cuzco. He asked me to make a portrait of him, "but it should be quickly" he said, and here it is. I made some more portraits during the trip but I always give them as a present...

Cuzco

Cuzco is a beautiful city, but it is so touristic also. I would had stayed here for some time, to walk along the Sacred Valley of the Incas, full of ruins.

Little sketches

Sorry guys. I know it´s been a long time without posting anything but I´ve been visiting my sister in Buenos Aires and we went on travel to the north of Argentina, Bolivia and a little bit of Peru. Incredible places and amazing people and culture. I have some drawings from there so I promise they will be here for you in a few days!!!

Naima

In April I was in Morocco and made this little girl´s portrait. She lived near the gorges of the Ziz, a river that comes down from the Middle Atlas´mountains, crossing the desert and becoming a true oasis for her people. All along the river bed is full of little houses and farmlands where fruits and vegetables are grown under the fresh shadow of palm trees.

Observatori 07

Observatori 07 is a music and art festival in Valencia. I went there with my brother and we had a good time. I made this quickly sketch in my notebook while he was asking for some beers...

Animation backgrounds

I´m working on some animation backgrounds at the moment, with PS and the pen tablet. I know this is not very original but I´m learning a lot and you will see!!



This one is made with flash. They just need some characters jumping around and saying things like "Heeey, what´s up doc?"

L´Andana

L´Andana used to be a farmers warehouse and after that, it became a place for rock bands where we used to play and practise...long time ago. Now it´s abandoned, so the other day i was around there, jumped the fence and thought: "Hey, this is like a masive canvas!! I can´t see it so white". So i managed some colours and once I started i couldn´t stop!!

My grandmother is one of the best persons i know, It´s funny because she seems to be angry on this picture, she was sleeping and maybe dreaming about something she didn´t like...

Mr. Human maaaaaaaaaannnn!!!

Mr. Human Man was a huge "sticker" (nearly two mts. high) that I did a few time ago. It was just yellow and black paint. I pasted it in the area I used to live in Valencia but somebody pulled it off from the wall very quickly so there´s no photo, shit!. This is the sketch from my notebook with some colours. Dirty style!!!

Little spawns

Here are Los Engendritos (something like "little spawns" in english), I don´t know where they come from...The line is a bit rough because i was trying whith brushes...

Like many artists said: cereals´boxes are great for sketching and trying dirty techniques!
